Dental Insurance & Payment Options
Dental insurance differs greatly from medical insurance. Most dental insurance plans have a very low annual maximum benefit, unlike medical insurance where patients are used to nearly unlimited lifetime coverage once their deductible and/or co-pay is met. Many dental plans have not increased their benefit maximums since their beginnings in the early 1970’s, while labor costs and dental supplies increase annually. Your annual premium has gone up every year; yet the benefits have remained the same.
We are committed to delivering the best dental care for you and your family. Some procedures, not covered under your plan, my be the best for your particular situation. Options will be given to you and you can make an informed decision for your dental health.
IF YOU HAVE DENTAL INSURANCE
We are typically not contracted with any insurance plans and our team will do everything possible to maximize your benefits. We will be happy to submit your insurance paperwork for you at the time of treatment. Please be aware that plans are set up differently. Some insurance companies will pay the contract holder (patient) and some will pay our office directly. If your insurance plan pays the contract holder, as a rule of thumb, they will send your payment to you within typically two to three weeks. In that case, you will be asked to pay for your treatment up front and the insurance company will reimburse you.
THIRD PARTY FINANCING & CREDIT CARDS
We gladly accept all major credit cards. At Today’s Dentistry, we want to make your dental care easy to finance through our no interest third party, CareCredit™. The fees are not raised to have the convenience of financing.
